Nigel Perks .. is a 35-year-old New Zealander. Hooked on wildlife as a schoolboy, he headed for Africa with £185 in his pocket and ended up in the Serengeti. There, in 1988, he set up Gibb's Farm Safaris and has been guiding ever since.
Paul Oliver ... Oliver's Camp on the edge of Tarangire National Park is one of Africa's special places and Paul Oliver is one of its special people. Having decided at the age of 19 that he wasn't ready for an accountant's life in Norwich, he bought a one-way ticket to East Africa. Now, 23 years later, he is one of the most respected guides in Tanzania.
