School photograph. 1939. My ugly mug is between Miss Reed and Mrs Horn - two rows back. I have identified (I think) the lady seated on the left of Mrs Goode. She is Dorothy Thompson who joined as a nurse in the East African Regiment and was drowned on board the Khedive Ismael, a troopship that was torpedoed in the Indian Ocean on its way to India in WW2.
