Bailey - Door to door Egg & Poultry deliveries in & around Arusha in the 1960s

My parents, Bill and Jean Bailey farmed on Oljoro from 1950 - 1967 which included poultry. (Prior to farming, my father was a Drill Foreman for the Department of Water Development - Water Boring Section - and therefore they moved to many parts of Tanganyika over the years. 1942 - 1950?) Back to the farm, I have vivid memories off collecting eggs, plucking fouls and doing the rounds delivering the produce door to door to customers in and around Arusha during the 1960s in our short wheel base Landrover. Many of the customers became good friends.
Herewith attached is a list off approx. 300 surnames of those customers, together with their designations or place of work.

I see my father's name there "Pyr Exract". He used to work at Tanganyika Extract, where they used to extract the Pyrethrum for insect spray.
I see my old teachers name there too, Mr Goswell and The Chivers who talked us into coming to New Zealand.

Amazing list. Found we are on it. 'Hopson, and loads of others I recognise from the Balsons to Harry Miller the Flying Doctor.
I will show this to my mother, Carol (Hopson) I'm sure she will know many of them.

I see the name Kalogeris on your list. The Kalogeris family were friends of my Grandmother - Meropi Fieros - who had a farm on the road up to Meru near Usa River. I have a picture of the Kalogeris girls - Venus, Iris, June - and Byron Kalogeris. Also in the photo are my aunt Avgi, Gearge and Vicki Evdemon and Ben Christie. I attach the photo which was taken at my grandmothers farm.

We visited the Kalogeris family (Byron, Kate and daughters) in the late 1970's in Scotland. They were friends of my parents in Arusha. I recognised several names from the list, though we weren't on it. Dad was based at Tengeru, and Simba Farm on Kilimanjaro, Mum taught at Arusha School.
