i was living in mbeya in the late 1950s and attending first the little infants school in mbeya and then mbeya school. i was a day pupil and there were not many of us. the friends i remember were Ingrid tanner, peggy pocock and Heather Gabb . There may have been one or two others, but mbeyas european community was very small and in those days it was fairly exclusively within the european community that we would have mixed. It was such a privileged and odd little world and i have so many memories and mixed feelings about it. I would very much like to make contact with any others who lived in mbeya at that time to exchange memories .
