Serengeti sanctuary 1929
« on: 01 October, 2009, 12:20 »
I wondered if anybody new or has any records of Francis Douglas Arundell, also known as Captain Arundell or "Dusty", who was a game keeper at the Serengeti sanctuary between 1929 and 1931 before Monty Moore. Francis Douglas Arundell also lived in Mbeya in the late 30's and 40's as this was where my father, Michael John Arundell, went to school.

There's mention in Kay Turner's book "Serengeti Home".  page 20

"Captain Arundell is first Game Warden of the [Serengeti] sanctuary. He built the headquarters at Banagi."
